Overview
About these servers
apoptoses runs two whitelist-only modded Minecraft servers for friends, regulars,
and approved community members. Both run as standalone game servers on their own
Debian VMs and are exposed through a Cloudflare tunnel rather
than a directly open port — so the host VM doesn't have to take internet-wide
traffic, and joining requires a small client mod called
modflared alongside the matching modpack.
Whitelist access is handled manually: send a short message through the
contact form with your Minecraft username and which
pack you'd like to join. The whitelist is intentionally small to keep the
economy and the chunkloading load sane.
How to Join
Joining step-by-step
- Pick the pack you want to join: All The Mods 10 or All The Mons.
- Install the matching modpack through your launcher (CurseForge / Prism / Modrinth all work).
- Add the modflared client mod to that modpack instance — drop it into the
mods folder. Without modflared the client cannot reach the Cloudflare tunnel and connection attempts will time out.
- Launch the modpack once before you try to join, so the OpenGL / GPU warm-up isn't part of your first join attempt.
- Add the server using
mc.apoptoses.com (ATM10) or og.apoptoses.com (ATMons).
- Send a message through the contact form with your Minecraft username and the pack you're joining. The whitelist is manual; replies usually come within a day.
Rules
Server rules in short
- No griefing. Don't break, take, or modify other players' builds without permission.
- No exploits. Avoid item duplication, world-corrupting tricks, and known crash exploits. If you find one, report it.
- No chunk-bombing. Be reasonable with chunkloaders, mob factories, and quarry spam — these servers are shared resources.
- No hate speech or harassment. The same baseline that applies to the Discord community applies here.
- Whitelist is per person, not per account. Don't share your whitelist slot.
Backups & Uptime
What to expect
Both servers run on dedicated Debian VMs with automated rolling backups. Uptime
is "best effort, single operator" — most outages are short and tied to mod
updates or host restarts. If a server is down for more than a few hours, ping
the operator through the contact form; status updates
are usually posted in the linked Discord.
FAQ
Common questions
Why do I need modflared? Because the server is exposed through a Cloudflare tunnel, not a directly open Minecraft port. modflared is a small client-side mod that teaches the vanilla client to speak the tunnel protocol.
Is the server whitelist? Yes — both servers are whitelist-only. Request access through the contact form.
Which Minecraft and Java version? Both packs are on the version that ships with the current ATM10 release, running on Java 21.
Is there a Dynmap or live world map? Not currently. Player privacy and resource cost both factored into that decision.
Can I bring a friend? Yes — they need to send their own whitelist request. The whitelist is per person, not per account.
