Why this is needed
The short explanation
The two apoptoses Minecraft servers — All The Mods 10 at
mc.apoptoses.com and All The Mons at
og.apoptoses.com — are exposed through a Cloudflare tunnel rather
than a directly open Minecraft port. That keeps the host VM off the open
internet, which is good for the operator and effectively neutral for you, the
player, except that you need a small client-side mod called
modflared to teach the vanilla Minecraft client how to speak
the tunnel protocol.
Without modflared, connection attempts will time out. With modflared installed
in the modpack instance, joining is identical to any other Minecraft server.
Step 1
Pick the pack
- All The Mods 10 (ATM10) — about 500 mods, the broad tech-and-magic kitchen-sink experience. IP:
mc.apoptoses.com.
- All The Mons (ATMons) — ATM10 with full Cobblemon integration, a separate world, and Pokémon progression. IP:
og.apoptoses.com.
You can be whitelisted on both, but each whitelist is a separate request.
Step 2
Install the modpack
Install the matching pack through whichever launcher you prefer. CurseForge,
Prism Launcher, and Modrinth all work. The launcher will pull down the right
Minecraft version, the right Java (Java 21), Forge or NeoForge, and every mod
in the pack. Allocate at least 6 GB of RAM to the instance; 8 GB is more
comfortable.
Launch the pack once before you do anything else. The first launch is when the
OpenGL / GPU code paths warm up and shaders compile; doing this before you try
to join the server avoids a "did it crash?" moment on your first connection.
Step 3
Add modflared
Find the modflared client mod on your launcher's mod marketplace (CurseForge,
Modrinth) and install it into the same instance you just created. It is a
small, single-purpose mod — it doesn't add items, blocks, or commands, just
the tunnel transport.
Make sure the mod's Minecraft version matches the pack's Minecraft version.
Loading a modflared build for the wrong Minecraft version is the most common
cause of "I added it and the game won't launch."
Step 4
Add the server
Launch the modpack again. From the main menu, choose Multiplayer
→ Add Server, give it a name, and paste the address:
- ATM10 →
mc.apoptoses.com
- ATMons →
og.apoptoses.com
The server icon may take a few seconds to appear the first time as modflared
establishes the tunnel. If it stays as a red X for more than fifteen seconds,
double-check that modflared is loaded — the F3 debug screen lists every mod.
Step 5
Request whitelist access
Both servers are whitelist-only. Send a short message through the
contact form with:
- Your Minecraft username (case sensitive on some launchers).
- Which pack you'd like to join (ATM10, ATMons, or both).
- Optionally, who referred you, if anyone — it speeds things up.
Whitelist additions are processed manually and usually within a day. You'll
get a reply confirming when you're in.
Troubleshooting
Common issues
- Connection times out. Almost always modflared is missing, disabled, or for the wrong Minecraft version. Re-check the mod list in F3.
- "You are not whitelisted on this server." The connection is working — you just need whitelist approval. Send the request via the contact form.
- Crashes on world load. Usually a memory issue. Bump RAM allocation to 8 GB and try again.
- "Outdated server" or "Outdated client." The server has updated; pull the latest version of the modpack from your launcher.
